We have been in business since 1979
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service as a direct private lender is offering collateral (equity) based loans secured by California Real Estate to borrowers who are not eligible for traditional bank financing.
The flip side of our business is providing private investors with secure investments offering significantly higher yields than banks, and far less volatility than the stock market.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our father had worked in the mortgage business for many years prior to founding his own Mortgage Company in 1979. We grew up learing about privately funded Real Estate loans around the dinner table. I majored in Real Estate in college and then went to work with my dad in 1979.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer very quick personalized service. We take pride in having successfully endured the Real Estate Market roller coaster ride of ups and downs for over four decades. We are honest and ethical, and give only straight talk about mortgage financing. Our mission is to provide responsiblel financing with fair pricing for borrowers, while offering the highest yield and lowest risk for investors.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have always operated in only one location and do not plan to expand. We have no plans to expand and would rather ensure our clients are ALWAYS provided with quality service and product.

We are located at: 49 Park Road, Burlingame, CA 94010, at the corner of Bayswater Avenue, 1 block north of Peninsula Avenue, 1 block east of El Camino Real, and 2 blocks south of Burlingame Avenue.
What type of payments do you accept?
Most payments are in the form of personal check. If needs to be expedited we request certified funds, cashier's check or money order.
Which areas do you service?
We are licensed to lend and receive money in California only. Most loans are on properties located in the immediate San Francisco Bay Area, but we will lend anywhere in California provided the deal makes sense.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our company is family owned and operated, owned by two brothers, Richard Wachter and Ronald Wachter
What are your hours of operation?
We are available nights and weekends by phone and email. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
